Episode 17- What’s My Age Again with Rachel Mudd, Proof that “You are Never too Old, and it’s Never too Late!
After losing some close to her, Rachel decided she needed to find a way to cope with the emotional burden. She’d run track in high school, so she figured she’d give long distance running a shot even though she was in her 40’s at the time. Soon after a friend of hers offered her this pearl of wisdom, “if you’re going to beat yourself up [by running], why not do it for a cause?” The rest, as they say, is history. Rachel decided to pair up with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and later decided to increase her athletic endeavors by stepping into full distance Ironman triathlons, never looking back. Now in her early 60’s she is about to do her 7th IM in California. She is the perfect example of “You are never too old, and it is never too late!”
In this episode, we talk to my friend, Rachel Mudd. We talk about why she decided to start running, how she got turned onto triathlons, and why she decided to use her newfound love of the sport to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
